Privacy Policy
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how RemoteViewers.org collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information when you use Remote Viewer's Assistant (the "App"). It also explains your choices and privacy rights.
The App provides remote-viewing session, sketching, meditation, training, backup, synchronization, subscription, feedback, and notification features. Some features require an account and internet connection.
2. Information We Collect
a. Account and Authentication Information
- Email address, Firebase user identifier, account creation date, and email-verification status.
- Authentication information processed by Firebase Authentication. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are not visible to RemoteViewers.org.
- If you use Google Sign-In, information made available through that process, such as your email address and Google-linked account identifier.
b. User Content and App Activity
Depending on the features you use, the App processes:
- Remote-viewing sessions, impressions, notes, ratings, timestamps, cooldown information, and related session details.
- Finger or stylus sketches, photographed paper sketches, and SketchBook entries.
- Ideogram, meditation, priming, and response-training records.
- Audio recordings created with an audio-recording feature and text produced through speech recognition.
- Settings, notification preferences, synchronization state, and subscription status.
c. Photos, Images, and Device Files
- You may take photos with the camera or use the system file or photo picker to choose an existing image.
- The App does not automatically crawl or search all files on your device. It receives the file you choose through the operating system's picker.
- The picker may permit JPG, JPEG, PNG, HEIC, HEIF, or WebP files. A selected image may be converted to JPEG for use in the App.
- Selected or captured images may be stored locally and uploaded to Firebase Cloud Storage for account-linked backup and synchronization.
- The App uses these images for the feature you selected, not for advertising or AI-model training.
d. Camera, Microphone, and Speech Recognition
- Camera access is used to capture session photos, sketches, and reference images.
- Microphone access is used for speech-to-text and audio-recording features you initiate.
- Speech input may be processed by the speech-recognition service provided by your device's operating system, subject to that provider's terms and privacy policy.
- Audio is retained when you intentionally use a feature that saves an audio recording. Other speech input may be retained as transcribed text rather than as an audio file.
e. Feedback and Support
If you submit feedback, we collect its category, rating, message, optional contact email and contact preference, user identifier, app version, operating-system version, device model, subscription tier, and submission time. Feedback is stored in Firebase and forwarded to our support email through our configured email service.
f. Technical, Device, Notification, and Subscription Information
- App version, operating system, device manufacturer or model, and technical error details.
- Firebase installation information, app-attestation information, IP address, user agent, and similar security or service data processed by Firebase.
- Push-notification token, device platform, and token update time if you enable eligible notification features.
- Purchase products, transaction or receipt information, subscription and entitlement status, and the account identifier used to manage subscriptions.
g. Local Diagnostics
The App keeps a local diagnostic log containing technical messages, errors, stack traces, and related context. It remains on your device unless you choose to send it by email. Local diagnostic entries are limited to 1,000 and pruned after approximately 14 days.
3. How We Use Information
- Create, authenticate, secure, and manage your account.
- Provide the App's session, image, sketching, audio, meditation, training, and feedback features.
- Store data locally, back it up, synchronize it across your devices, and restore it.
- Manage purchases, subscriptions, trials, and feature access.
- Deliver notifications you enable and respond to support requests.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, improve reliability, comply with law, and enforce our rights.
We do not sell or rent personal information, use your content for targeted advertising, or use your content to train AI models.
4. Local and Cloud Storage
- App records and files may be stored locally for app functionality and offline access.
- Account-linked records may be stored in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore.
- Account-linked images, sketches, and audio files may be stored in Google Firebase Cloud Storage.
- Firebase Authentication, Cloud Functions, App Check, Cloud Messaging, and Remote Config process information necessary to provide their services.
5. When We Disclose Information
We disclose information only as needed for the purposes in this policy:
- Google/Firebase: authentication, databases, file storage, backend functions, security attestation, push messaging, and remote configuration.
- RevenueCat: subscription management. The App supplies your Firebase user identifier and, when available, your email address. RevenueCat also processes purchase and entitlement history.
- Apple App Store or Google Play: purchase processing, receipt validation, subscription management, and device-provided speech services where applicable.
- Email service provider: transmission of feedback and support communications.
- Legal and safety disclosures: when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or enforce applicable agreements.
Your private account content is not made publicly available through the App.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted network transmission supported by our providers, Firebase authentication and access controls, security rules, app attestation, and device secure storage for selected local credentials or keys. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Retention
- We generally retain account information and synchronized content while your account is active or as needed to provide the App.
- Content you delete may remain briefly while deletion and synchronization complete.
- Local diagnostics are pruned after approximately 14 days and limited to 1,000 entries.
- Feedback and support communications may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
- Purchase and transaction records may be retained by RevenueCat, Apple, Google, or us for subscription administration, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance.
- After deletion, providers may retain information in restricted backups until those backups are overwritten. Firebase states that some authentication and installation information may take up to 180 days to be removed from live and backup systems.
8. Your Choices and Controls
- You may edit or delete supported content within the App.
- You may manage camera, microphone, speech, photo/file, and notification permissions through device settings.
- You choose whether to select a file, capture an image, record audio, use speech recognition, submit feedback, or send diagnostic logs.
- You may uninstall the App to remove ordinary locally stored App data, subject to your operating system's backup and retention behavior.
9. Account Deletion
You may initiate permanent account deletion from the App's account-management area. Account deletion removes your Firebase Authentication account and user-linked App data from our active Firebase databases and storage, including sessions, sketches, images, audio, training and meditation records, notification preferences, and device tokens. It also removes the App's local user-data directory on the device where the request is completed.
Account deletion cannot cancel obligations or erase records that must be retained for fraud prevention, transaction processing, security, or legal compliance. Data may remain temporarily in restricted provider backups as described in Section 7. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; you must manage cancellation through the applicable store.
If you cannot access the App, email support@remoteviewers.org to request account and associated-data deletion. We may need to verify your identity.
10. International Processing
The App is available globally. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where RemoteViewers.org or its providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Firebase Authentication operates from United States data centers, while other Firebase services may use global infrastructure or configured service regions.
11. Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. You may also complain to a local privacy authority. Rights may be subject to legal exceptions. Email support@remoteviewers.org to exercise a right; we may verify your identity first.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by applicable United States state privacy laws.
12. Legal Bases Where Required
Where laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we process personal data as necessary to perform our contract with you; for legitimate interests such as securing, supporting, and improving the App; with consent where required, including for optional permissions; and to comply with legal obligations.
13. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Users must also meet any higher minimum age required in their country to provide their own consent. Contact us if you believe a child provided information improperly.
14. Third-Party Services
Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy notices. Relevant providers include Google and Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, Google Play, your device's speech-service provider, and our email service provider. Practices may vary by service, account settings, and location.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the App, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide any additional notice required by law. Material changes apply prospectively from their effective date.
16. Contact
RemoteViewers.org is responsible for the processing described in this policy. For privacy questions, rights requests, or account-deletion assistance, contact support@remoteviewers.org.
